I've been in love with my Saucony Endorphon Edge shoes since 2023. I've used them on all the trail races i've done and I need a new pair after burning through my spare. I only really wear them when i'm doing longer trails and have a number of longer multi day trail events and i'd love to be able to find something similar.

I'm also open to non-carbon plated shoes especially given the length of some of my upcoming races but i would love a more race day style shoe recommendation as well. In general i've loved this shoe across all distances i've done.

I'm 6ft 3, 91Kg and have a large foot (US14) standard width. Have struggled in some shoes like my Asics Tri Noosa and New Balance 880V14s giving me arch pain when running but it dissipates after a while.

I've enjoyed the shoes fit and found it very comfortable, found the energy return great and the shoe more durable vs. most others i've had.

I was very sad to hear
they had stopped making them and I can find dead stock anywhere.

All thoughts appreciated!

Hope this is the right sub. Wasn't sure if this was a question for Ultrarunning or Fastpacking.

I have a number of multi-day ultras over the next few years and i'm trying to get my pack sorted.

I'm not fussed about the cost of the pack just want to get something good. I currently live in a country where testing a lot of these packs is quite hard.

I'm 6ft 3 and c. 91KG back length 21.8Inches

Races:

  1. 5 day multi stage race self supported but no need to carry tent - hot weather
  2. 5 day multi stage race again no need to carry tent but this is artic conditions expecting -20 and requiring snow shoe carrage
  3. MDS pending place.

I've been looking at the following packs:

  1. WAA Ultra 20L + the front pack (MDS recommended)
  2. UD 30 fastpack (see a lot of people using this but also very varying reviews)
  3. Hyperlite Aero 28 (don't see many talking about this for ultra running and i'm a bit concerned by the vey basic waist strap and minimal back padding.

I know that for the MDS and 5 day hot weather I can fit everything in any of these packs. The winter one is a little bit far off and i'm still evaluating what kit i need.

If the right answer is buy more than one thats fine.

I have my sleeping system sorted and will be packing light/ultralight in all instances.

Curious to hear any thoughts.
