I live in a very nice apartment with three other roommates. Two of whom are a couple with two cats. The third roommate will not be resigning our lease for the next 6 months. I was under the impression that we would be looking for another fourth roommate to take the now empty room next to mine. Apparently the couple has decided they don’t want a fourth roommate. This will drive up the rent cost for all of us significantly. They claim they would be uncomfortable with a fourth roommate because it would disrupt their peace and are concerned because we are not supposed to have animals in the unit. They wouldn’t be able to trust a fourth person to keep the cats a secret. I barely have the money to afford the new price of rent and would be happy with a fourth. I will have to get a second job just to stay. Aitah for being extremely angry with them and finding a new roommate myself?
