So about a month ago I ordered a oxygen portable machine and I realized after 5 hours of buying the product, the seller disappears completely. I can’t see the listing anymore, it’s been shipped and I can see the sellers name but not the product anymore, I’m like okay, I hope the right item comes, this is strange. I contact Amazon customer service about it and they said, if it doesn’t come correctly, request to return it and sorry for the inconvenience, the seller just deleted their whole profile.
The item does arrive correctly, but my doctor told me it’s not the right one. Okay, so I decide to return it, it costed me $449, so I want my money back.
I return the package and its label is by UPS. I drop it off on March 30th. It gets there by April 10th, I’m wondering why I’m not getting my refund.
I pass by a whole bunch of phone calls with Amazon, repeating the same thing over and over again. I talk with 4 different supervisors, they keep “processing the refund.” Telling me I’m covered by A-Z guarantee and giving me estimated days and whatnot, I’m getting upset, this isn’t it.
I call again, asking where’s my refund because this ridiculous already. They tell me maybe my Amazon Chase card is the issue, well it can’t be, I’m using the same card to make purchases and I’m receiving refunds just fine.
So I finally speak to someone who tells me the seller is stating that they never received the item that’s why I haven’t received my refund. I’m confused now, I did return the item, all representatives have told me they see that I dropped off the item on the 30th and they see the tracking number. I stated multiple times that the tracking says it’s been delivered to the destination, it has been handed to someone at a commerce place.
I talked over the phone for so long stating that they have received the item, the tracking number and the UPS website is proof of that. Why are they depending on what the seller says? The seller is definitely lying because the tracking number says otherwise.
I get an email stating that they sent an email to another department so I can respond within 24 hours.
I get that email, it tells me, “As we informed you earlier, the seller of this order has confirmed that they never received the item that you had to return. As a result, we will not be issuing a refund for the item.”
Then proceeds to offer me to appeal, I submitted an appeal and I gave another call explaining everything all over again and this is ridiculous.
Now this supervisor submitted another claim to another department that “looks into claims like these and looks for proof to determine a refund back or not”.
It’s just a long waiting game and if it were for this, I would’ve never bought it in the first place.
To me it was fishy that the seller deleted his page and listing right after it was shipped, that tells me everything, but I’m just waiting now.
I feel like suing, but I don’t even know where to start or who to call.
