Hey guys, been meaning to make this post for a while because I wasn't able to find a post discussing the same problem on here.

I got my base S26 on April 4th, and I've been pretty upset with the camera in general. I upgraded from a base S23 and the camera on the s26 seems much worse in every aspect. Less details, more blurry, performs worse in low light, more noisy, etc. I've tried all possible settings to improve the camera quality but in a side to side comparison, the S23 looks much better in everything. I've been thinking whether I have a defective camera module but I haven't seen solid proof of that yet so I'm not sure. The s26 can't even take a good photo of the moon because it can't focus it in 30x zoom, while the s23 performs great.

In any case, I wanted to share a different concern I have with the OIS of the camera. Please see the attached video for context. When zoomed in at 20x or 30x, (noticed this when shooting the moon), the ois suddenly shifts from time to time, as if searching for something. It locks in and then starts drifting somewhere else in the view. I can make another video with the moon as an example of this later if needed. it doesn't make any sense for the camera to try to change the frame when zoomed in on a stationary object like the moon.

Anyone have any idea if this is normal behavior or if this warrants service checkup?

edit: that big repositioning of the frame was done by me, but you can see the ois shifting the frame on its own a few times. Also, Auto lens switching is off.
