I’m a second year electrical engineering student that just started an internship. I feel useless and have no idea how to contribute. I also joined a solar car team at my uni where we build a solar powered car. I feel the same uselessness there too. I’m starting to wonder if I’m just not capable because I see students only a year older who seem like they know exactly what they’re doing. I feel pretty discouraged and am wondering when you get to that point where you actually know what you’re doing… is this something that just takes time?

After begging, screaming and crying for a Co-op, I finally got one this summer. It hasn’t been long since I started but I can’t help but feel so stupid. I genuinely feel like I’m useless and don’t really know what to do most of the time. Does anyone else feel like this?

Literally why the fuck do I have to pay for ME to do an internship that the university does jack shit to help me find. Got my first co-op this summer and didn’t realize co-op fees existed. Literally what the fuck
