Idk if this is selection bias, but why is literally every single person at pulse so jacked. Like I swear (other than myself), everyone is massive somehow. Did hamilton put tren in the water system or what. Compared to my local gym or high school I feel like im in the opposite of a smurf lobby like im bronze 3 getting put into a immo game like son im crine.

Hi everyone. I’m a first year life sci student whose overall GPA is probably going to be 2.9 by the end of the semester.

I was struggling a lot with my depression throughout the year and finally feel like I got a grip on it but I’ve just been informed that I might be assigned an academic standing of “not being able to complete your studies at McMaster university” as a result of my low GPA.

I’m really terrified of this happening, my parents will be extremely disappointed and I’ll probably be cut-off from everything. I haven’t failed any of my classes, I just don’t have the motivation to study at all.

Is there anything I can do to avoid this?? Anything would be appreciated please, I’m extremely stressed out.

This has to be the worst class at mac icl. The prof is AMAZINGGG and one of the nicest people ever but the TA’s r such cunts this semester it’s not even funny. They mark as if it’s not an intro class. You can put in 100% effort, go get you paper proof read by profs and still get marks taken off for bullshit. TAs go in power trips, refuse to explain or poorly explain assignments and give unclear feedback. Also don’t get me started on the lack of communication and response, like it takes you a full week to respond to my email??? really??? I wish you could do a rate my TA bc the polsci TA gen moved weird and some acted like they had intellectual disorders.

For context, I’m in 3rd year and finals aren’t anything new. However, this finals season has made my mental health absolutely plummet, and I haven’t been this depressed since COVID. I’m doing fine in my courses, but I’m so wildly overwhelmed by how content-heavy all of my finals are. I’m so stressed and so tired no matter how much I sleep or nap.

I would love to hear how you guys are taking care of yourselves during this time :)

A close friend died earlier in the year, and it's basically washed most of my course work this semester. I'm doing better now, but it's a bit late and I made the mistake of not being able to communicate with profs + not withdrawing by deadline since I thought I'd be better faster.

One of the courses I've already failed, and the exam can't save that. For the other course I have a 55% exam tomorrow that I will likely fail/not score high enough. My cGPA in the first place isn't the best, I think around ~6.8 just because school isn't my priority.

I've honestly accepted failing the courses, and just retaking them later. I'm just a little worried about being kicked out of my program, and am a bit slow when it comes to understanding the language they use for the minimum you need to stay in a program. I'm in the Honours Appliesd Human Psych. program.

Er, is there really anything I can do besides maybe MSAF the one final exam? Also, if I were to file an MSAF, do I like... have to provide proof of their death? Thanks for any help in advance.

So, I’ve been feeling the exact opposite of my last post! I don’t know, nor have I felt this witchcraft happen to me before! I’ve been studying for countless days straight and I actually find it kind of nice! I go to the basement, turn on my show, and do countless practice questions, and I’m not sure what to do when exams are over! Is this my sign to take spring/summer courses?

has anyone ever switched from pnb or a similar program to eng 1? maybe even to a different uni. What did that look like and what gpa would u need at minimum? thanks!
