i am moving back to Canada soon and need to move all of my cash and brokerage assets, what’s the best way to do this without incurring heavy fees?
I’m aware of norbert’s gambit but i prefer to just pay someone to handle it, im just wondering if it’s possible to strike a mutually beneficial deal with a bank - like, ill move all $5M of my assets into your bank if you can waive the initial fee or give a discounted fee for wealth management for the first 5 years or something. i’m 27 so i feel like this should be a really attractive opportunity for any advisor, but what do i know lol. is it common or acceptable to negotiate this kind of stuff with a bank or do you need to be in the 50-100M range to have any leverage?
