Unsure how to handle unfortunate circumstance
Im 25m she’s 23F. I asked a girl out years ago but it turned out she was in a relationship. Recently I was scrolling on instagram and saw she requested to follow me so I accepted. I saw she was now single and I planned on asking her out again. Unfortunately a couple days after my life kind of fell apart. Everything just hit the fan at the same time. I got a snap from her but I didn’t realize we were even friends on snap so I opened it. I am a really straightforward person so my first instinct is to just tell her straight up I’m not really in a place to pursue a relationship right now. Not only does that seem off putting as a first message but it makes it worse that it seemed like I was interested only days before.
How should I navigate this without ruining the opportunity for something in the future?
