I'm looking to buy my very first GoPro for an upcoming vacation. I have never owned an action cam before, so l'm a total beginner in this topic
I‘ll be doing some quad biking in mountainous terrain and water rafting. Since both activities will be bumpy and hectic, good stabilization is my top priority. I want the footage to look smooth even when things get shaky
My budget is around 150€, and I'm currently looking at the used market here in europe.
I've been eyeing the HERO 8 Black because I heard it has great stabilization
and supports the Media Mod if I want to upgrade later. However, I've also seen the HERO7 Black which fits my budget a bit better
My questions
-Is the jump in stabilization from the 7 Black to the 8 Black worth the extra money for
quad biking?
-Since the HERO8 has a non replaceable lens cover, should I be worried about damage during rafting or off roading?
-Are there any specific beginner pitfalls I should watch out for when buying a used one?
