So I’m trying to figure something out for my friend as I don’t know much about car dealership pay and I know it varies but what the company is doing doesn’t seem right.
We are in California and the way this person is paid is from commission I’m not sure exact details but basically they are guaranteed $2500 a month if they don’t make over $2500 a month in commission which is there hourly totaled up for the month. So let’s say this person makes $5,000 for the month in commission so the company does not need to pay the $2500(hourly) but the crazy part to me is they then deduct the $2500(hourly)from the commission which would then only leave them with a $2500 commission paycheck for the month instead of the $5,000 they earned from commission . Sounds completely illegal to me and ridiculous but what do I know?
