Update - Corporate Guy selling Authentic Roasted Konkan Cashews.
A few weeks ago I posted about my new business here. Since then I've gotten a decent number of orders, and some of those customers have already placed second and third orders.
But not everything went smoothly. 2 of my orders had packaging failures in transit (shipped fresh packets to both customers ) , and took it as a lesson. Fixed the packaging right after, and it's held up since.
So what's the update?
- Started my own ecommerce website
- Got all the required licenses (FSSAI and the rest)
- Created an Instagram page for the brand
- Got really encouraging reviews from customers
- My bestseller turned out to be the Roasted & Lightly Salted Skin Cashew, most people have never had skin-on cashews, and the ones who tried them kept coming back
- My most distant order came from a district I had honestly never heard of before - Purulia, West Bengal. Sending a packet all the way from the west coast to the east felt pretty special.
What's next:
- Packaging upgrade - current one is functional but basic. Working on a premium redesign because the cashews deserve to arrive looking as good as they taste.
- Going deeper on marketing - figuring out how to actually reach people who'd love this product but haven't heard of it yet. Still learning this part honestly.
- Growing the Instagram - sharing the journey of the brand, posting more regularly, and turning it into a proper community over time
These are authentic Goan Konkan cashews, sourced from the coastal belt where they actually grow. Reddit gave me my first few customers and the push to take this seriously.
