Writing my first pattern, does this graphic make sense? Also, what's the correct way to cite a source in a pattern?

Writing my first pattern, does this graphic make sense? Also, what's the correct way to cite a source in a pattern?

So, I'm writing a crochet pattern for the first time ever! I'm not going to sell this pattern, as I do not have enough crochet experience to really be truly good at shaping things and knowing what I'm talking about, but I'm trying to recreate an item from a video game for my YouTube channel and want to make my pattern available for anyone who ends up watching the video (if they want and if anyone even ends up watching it since I don't have many followers at this point).

I had some difficulty figuring out the shaping for this particular spot and I think I have it down now, but I could see how the pieces could look wildly different if someone were to follow my pattern with very different tension, so I made this little diagram to show how two pieces should look when stacked together. I just am hoping someone could tell me if the diagram makes sense upon a cursory glance?

I'm also hoping someone could give me best practice on citing sources in my pattern? Like I said, I'm not the best at understanding shaping yet, so I wrote part of my pattern (a flat circle with staggered increases) with a lot of reference to a specific blog post I read. I changed the wording in mine to be a bit more simplified, and I wrote a note above the section with that that basically said "Credit to {person} from {blog name} for {method}." Is this sufficient, or should I do more than this?

Thanks in advance for any and all guidance!

I’m trying to find a broken/cheap CRT computer monitor for an art piece I’m making. I’ve checked Goodwill and Marketplace, but didn’t find anything that worked/was in budget. Anyone know of a place I could go in the city to find an old school computer monitor like this for ~$10? It doesn’t have to work as it will be gutted. I can also go anywhere in the city/surrounding areas, but I’d prefer to stay in the city proper/Tukwila/Renton area, if possible.
