Corey Feldman is a legendary name but maybe it's blown out of proportion . I lived through the 80's , I saw how famous he was but the flame was out equally fast .I completely agree the movies were absolute behemoths but when you step back , there were maybe 5 titles in total and his career really lasted 5 years . After the Burbs , the rest of his filmography is so clearly just him trying to keep his head above the water . As soon as he was 18 , it was over . Maybe his childhood career happened because he was a cute quirky kid , not a great actor . Otherwise he's just have a great career throughout , like , I don't know - Leondardo Di Caprio . Corey ,mentioned more than once how he was almost in Gilbert Grape , he was almost in Titanic . Almost . Is he jealous of Di Caprio ? Maybe . Bitter ? He said he never wanted to be an actor , and he gets impatient and irritated when podcasters keep asking him the same questions about Stand By Me. It feels like he was way more mangled by the industry than all of us are willing to admit . He's done so much since ( subjective quality aside ) , he has a music career he'd rather talk about and for us he's still just a kid from the Goonies . Getting to the point - I think it's unfair on him and we give him way more credit than he deserves . Maybe we just need to pump the brakes on nostalgia . Without googling - name one film he's made after 1989
