DnD Campaign worth it?

I’ve been thinking about DMing for a while now and I’m seriously considering taking our campaign live on Twitch. However, before I dive into that, I wanted to get some honest feedback from those of you who have been down this road.

A few questions for the DMs and players out there:

Is it worth the effort? Between technical troubleshooting, overlays, and managing a chat, does it take away from the actual "magic" of the game at the table?

Engagement vs. Gameplay: How do you strike a balance between interacting with viewers and keeping the story moving for the players?

Growth: For small/new channels, is the DnD category too saturated right now, or is there still room for newbies?

If you have any pro-tips regarding essential tech (audio/overlays) or how to keep the players comfortable while being "on camera," I’d love to hear them!

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Fun fact

I'm just so in love with the sparkly stockings 🥹

Also I'm super glad I made prop and headphones last minute. (I glued on some details on the day of the shoot 😧)
