I drive for Uber Eats and I’m fed up with the low offers. People say they want to sue Uber in a class action lawsuit but nobody does. We all signed a contract anyway saying that we can’t. But we CAN try to get the laws changed. I’ve researched who to contact. If all of us send e mails to these people maybe we can get some gig worker reform bills passed. I don’t think people actually realize how bad it is. Contact your:
Federal Representatives and Senators
State Representatives and Senators
City council members
Mayors office
US Department of Labor
Committee on Health,Education,Labor, and Pensions.
A bill called “Empowering App Based Workers Act” was introduced to the senate on 7/28/25 and was referred to the committee mentioned above. They may be a good place to contact. Their address is:
428 Senate Dirksen Office Bldg.
Washington, DC 20510
202-224-5375
The heads of this committee are Senator Bill Cassidy and Senator Bernie Sanders. I’m going to send them each an email if I can or else write them a letter.
I’m tired of working less than minimum wage. New York, Seattle, and California got things changed for drivers. Why can’t we get changes for everyone? We need to speak up and not let Uber get away with making lots of money off of us. It’s not right. It’s not fair. They think that because we signed a contract saying that we won’t sue them that our hands are tied and they can take advantage of us. Not so!!!
