A 2023 (gen 2) Kia Niro is high on my list for my next car in coming weeks and months, so hope you don’t mind me asking some questions in the sub.

I’ve had 2 different EV leases (BMW i3 and Polestar 2) and with both, you can drive the car with high regen/one pedal, and they’ll come to a complete stop on their own and they’ll hold it until you accelerate. The P2 had an option to switch off creep, the i3 just wouldn’t creep anyway.

I don’t want the car to move without me touching the accelerator and I would like it to stop and auto-hold without me having to remember to turn on the feature each time I get in. I see earlier discussions of this in the sub, but I wasnt clear if this has been ‘fixed’ in the Niro via a software update? Will it remember my autohold selection? If coming to a gentle stop will it hold, if all I’m doing is taking my foot off the accelerator?

Thanks in advance!

We have a small welcome co-op in our village. It has normal co-op branding and stock. I understand these stores are franchises of Southern co-op.

They do not offer or accept any loyalty cards, including southern co-op. They do not allow any democratic control of the organisation by their customers (eg through annual votes or polls) and they do not share any profits or ownership. Many products are extremely over priced, compared to other convenience stores (including other co-ops!), but that’s perhaps separate point.

My question is - How are they legally allowed to be named a co-op if they offer none of the benefits of a cooperative?
