The internet demands too much empathy

Oftentimes people voice the thought that the facelessness of the internet has ruined empathy as it makes it easier to be mean. Which in itself is true, I myself am much more vocal on the internet and often I'm just an asshole to randos for the love of the game or to detox from a frustrating day, but to me it also seems like everyone is trying to impose on our empathy constantly. I view my empathy as a limited supply that i usually reserve for people who I'm closer with. like obviously when bad thing happens I do understand that bad thing is bad thing but I just don't want to spend my emotional supply on the latest tragic story, and the way the internet is I feel like a bad guy for it.

First time help

So I ordered stuff from out of country before, but now for the first time DHL express has sent me an email that they are holding my package and I need to send them some documents to "speed the process up". Well for the past few days my order has been in limbo, with it getting a clearance event and then getting on hold, so I assume I actually need to send them the documents.

I actually have no idea what these documents are, I think they are asking for the receipt of my order, but on the off chance I am misunderstanding the email, I am here to ask.

The order is from the US, to hungary. I have ordered from the us before.
