Normally when I hit "word count" from the menu I get the familiar box in the center of the screen showing how many words the doc has. Today, however, nothing happens when I click on word count. I tried this on multiple docs in my library and restarted the computer, the box still doesn't show up. Any ideas?

I tried bifocal contacts about 15 years ago and was disappointed. My distance vision was Ok, not as good as contacts for nearsightedness only, and the ability to read close text was also Ok, not as good as my 1.5 readers. Has the technology changed since then? Are bifocal contacts better than they used to be and are there particular products I should be looking for?
