Heavy police deplovment was reported at Kolkata's Park Circus Seven Point crossing after large crowds gathered to protest against issues includinc restrictions on loudspeakers, roadside pravers during Eid and Muharram, and alleged bulldozer action on properties without prior notice.
According to reports circulating locally, the situation turned tense as protesters and police confronted each other in the area. Traffic movement was affected around Park Circus, while authorities increased security presence to maintain law and order.
However, official confirmation regarding alleqations of stone pelting, vandalism, and police lathicharge is still awaited.
