Chitubox: Stop Update, Keep LAN
Chitubox is now cramming an update down our throats and closing out the program if you don't accept the update.
For USB users no problem, just firewall all network and you're on your way.
But for LAN users this removes our preferred way of printing.
Solution:
Just firewall outbound block TCP Port 443 for chitubox_basic.exe
Windows Defender Firewall > Advanced Settings> Outbound Rules > New Rule
Apply the rule to the PORT not the program, port 443, BLOCK connections. Save rule
Then once the rule is created go into properties and apply it only to the program path where your chitubox is saved.
Shitty how to screenshot!
Happy Update Free Printing!
Notes:
I tried a bunch of things with blocking and allowing IPs but had no luck.
There are a whole bunch of IPv4/6 addresses it tries to reach but they all use port 443 :)
Sending hate to phoning home and forced updates.
Tested on Windows 10,Chitubox 2.0.0.1, with both Mars and Saturn printers.
