I'm The fence.

I let the plant grow. I could have easily thrown the seed away from very starting. I literally supported it. I thought It will never be a big thing. Now that plant have grown to a tree, dichotomy is that even I'm not safe. The grown branches of the tree are now suffocating me. But thankfully house owner came at the right time, that too with the cutters in hand. But before I could gather courage to say something owner cut me with cutters and chosen the tree. I've been pushed away a bit, now that tree is standing tall at my place. I'm now literally out of the house. Now owner is under the shade of the tree and I'm just watching wanting to scream aloud but I'll just protect the owner cuz I'm The fence.

For me, one line that stayed with me was "Sometimes offering mask might indicate someone having real attachment." It was during the COVID times just stayed with me. What's yours?
