This game really brought back some amazing nostalgia for me and has the perfect quality of life upgrades. I really enjoyed using a wide range of pokemon, cycling though about 9 of them (gengar, infernape and serperior not shown here). I mainly used pokemon that I thought looked cool and had a sweet design to them!! Had an entertaining challenge in doing so, just right in the slot where I didn’t ever really feel completely underleveled but had to try different combinations of movesets and pokemon with a bit of grinding on the side. I imagine vanilla would have been far too simple. Overall my main gripe was the story? I see what they were trying to do but even after actually reading dialogue and trying to build it in my mind, I became a bit lost in it all. Still fun though! And the battles plus the boss fights were super entertaining. I really found myself saying, “ah shit here we go”!! Excited to continue playing and catch some legendaries! Gotta lock in on someone of those quests too. I have already and will continue to recommend this ROM to anyone !!
