I was a shift supervisor at CVS for only two months. I was terminated for an accident involving an scam a few days ago, the incident happened a month ago, some customer came in trying to reload on their Cash App card and they were pressuring me to do a split payment, which I kept telling them that there’s no such thing as a split payment. Even then they still kept pressing me about a split payment, as we still argued about the payment, I’m noticing the line was constantly being back up and in the midst of trying to call for help on the register, they decides to go behind the counter and reactivate their card without giving me the money and ran out the store, after that I immediately called for management to explain the situation, I was told that there’s drawer will be -$400 short, do to the incident that has occurred. A day after that, I was brought in by my manager. I explained the situation and expressed my frustration, and even my manager seemed to understand that it was an accident and that I was trying to do my job, but said Loss Prevention would examine the situation. A month after the situation, I was called into the office by management and I was told that I was terminated due to the situation prior. I honestly wasn’t expecting to be terminated after being there for only two months and to make it worse, I was just trying to get my life back on track after my prior job went bankrupt and shut down. I have no tension towards CVS or its policies, but it was fun while it lasted.
