MRM-57 and MRMS-57
MRM-57 (Marksman Rifle Model 1957) 7x60.5mm
Designed in 1957 to replace outdated bolt actions that previously filled the DMR role in the Jigharian military during the Great Jacquan War. The MRM-57 features a 25 inch barrel and is chambered for 7x60.5mm. The MRM-57 is most commonly used with 10 round detachable box magazines, but can be reloaded via. 5 round stripper clips. The MRM-57 is also usually used with the VRS-4/6. (Variable Rangefinder Scope 4/6x), a 4x or 6x variable magnification optic. Can be equipped with a cheek riser.
MRMS-57 (Marksman Rifle Model 1957 Short) 7x60.5mm
Designed in 1960 for paratroopers and special forces, the MRMS-57 features a 3 inch shorter barrel and folding stock. These two are the only major differences.
