Hi everyone,
I've been reading posts in this community for over a year and you all genuinely helped me feel less alone when I was scared and didn't know what was happening in my own body.
I had an open myomectomy in September 2025 to remove 7 fibroids, the largest measuring 17cm once it was out. Years of heavy bleeding, debilitating pain, and being told it was normal. It took becoming physically undeniable before anyone listened.
I wrote about the whole journey — the dismissal, the emergency in the middle of the night, the surgery, the recovery — and published it on my Substack. I'm sharing it here because somewhere someone is Googling at 2am trying to understand what's happening in their body. I was that person. Your stories helped me. I hope mine helps someone too.
