▲ 5 r/CPAP

I keep seeing posts from people who say that cpap changed their life for the better, and I truly want to love mine in that way. But I'm still struggling. One night I might use it for 8 hours and then the next only 5 hours. In the morning, most times, I wake up with stomach cramps and a lot of burps just waiting to come out, or other gas. I think I'm swallowing air with my mouth open. So they sent me a chin strap, and it seems very flimsy to me, whenever I put it on and then put the mask on over, it gets loose and so why bother?

Otherwise, I still get up to use the bathroom a couple of times a night, but that has been an ongoing thing since I got "older." The good part is when I get back in bed and put the mask back on, I end up going back to sleep and not having insomnia like I used to do. So I'm definitely getting more sleep. Also about .7 events per hour.

The other good part is when I wake up and don't even realize I have the mask on. If I can just get past this stomach cramping in the mornings, I'll feel a lot better. I don't know if I need to try just the nose mask. Honestly don't think the chin strap is helping.

My machine is a Resmed AirSense11, mask is Evorafull. I see the sleep doctor in a couple of weeks. I've been using cpap just over one month.

Also, what is cpap hair?
