My experience with Thrillophilia for Meghalaya trip
We had a wonderful experience visiting North East - Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, with Thrillophilia. There were a few hiccups, of course, but then that happens with all tour operators. This was our third trip with Thrillophilia, earlier we had gone to Chikmagalur -Coorg and Leh Ladakh. So we knew what to expect and got it. It was value for money. Excellent captain cum guide, all places in the itinerary covered to our satisfaction, reasonably good stay arrangements and excellent hospitality by the hosts in all places - mind you, it was a 13 days trip. We though had some power outage and voltage issues, especially in Arunachal Pradesh with room heaters and electric blankets not functional till late in the night. This of course was told to us in advance. Ours being a budget package, our transport was a tempo traveler in place of an Urbania. But we were 12 of us and were too much into enjoying our company and sightseeing to be bothered about that. Though a better vehicle could definitely have added to our comfort as all of us were on the wrong side of sixties/seventies. The captain made up for that with his ever smiling face and exceptional driving skills. The free breakfast in Arunachal Pradesh was nothing to write home about. We managed and enjoyed as we were not overmuch interested in food. We had good lunches every where inspite of being pure vegetarians. Imagine, in one place on the way to Bhalukpong from Kaziranga, the restaurant manager arranged to wash all cooking vessels after serving the non-veg customers and cooked veg dishes afresh for us. We were overwhelmed by his concern and attitude, even though it took us some time which we had in plenty at that juncture. The captain knew all the places and guided us perfectly even for good lunch spots. The icing on the cake was the last day in Guwahati when we had a smooth and satisfying darshan of Maa Kamakhya thanks to a Panda, Anjan Sharma who was referred to us by a fellow tourist. All in all, a wonderful and memorable experience. The other team members already have asked me to plan our next vacation through Thrillophilia. We will definitely recommend Thrillophilia inspite of some glitches, some of which were even beyond their control. Keep it up Thrillophilia. God bless you all.
