Hi there. My employer has told me I have been overpaid a specific amount of hours of overtime and night duty within a time frame, amounting to about €200 gross. I have asked them to give me the specific days in which they think I have been overpaid each of the hours, as I have an excel with my logged hours which was submitted and approved by my supervisor before paying me. They have ignored my request and now sent me a letter giving me a deadline to agree to a pay back plan. I think my request to see the specifics is reasonable, especially considering I have been keeping careful track of my worked time. Should I involve a lawyer, considering the amount is little? Or should I involve my union? I would appreciate any advice.
Further info: This is the main employer for my profession and I would like to very much solve this amicably. They just have a history of not paying overtime and I think, out of principle, I should at least make sure this is an actual error and not them paying me my real overtime "by mistake" and now trying to do a claw back.
