This past Saturday I was at Animal Kingdom with my husband and 17 year old niece. It was all star cheer weekend and they were everywhere. My daughter was a former cheerleader, so I understand competition weekends can be stressful however I had the strangest experience. We were getting into the lightning lane line and a teenage girls steps right in front of my husband (who will always let everyone in front of him) and then her entire group continues to follow her- her mother, another cheerleader and that girls mother and father. We just let them all through because honestly, I am not an aggressive person at all. We are walking through the lightning lane and there was a stop. They began to all gather around their phone and look at competition results. Very quickly the line began to move again… the dad started to move but they just stood there. He stopped and said something to them (I couldn’t hear what) and they just stood there. I went around them because I assumed they were really interested in the results and willing to stop. It happened so quickly, I didn’t even think much about what was happening. I then hear one mom say- they are trying to cut the line in front of us. I had not even made it to where the dad was standing. The second mom got into my face and said- all you had to do was tell us the line was moving. I replied that everyone around us including her party knew the line was moving. She got into my face like she was going to hit me. I was shocked! All I kept thinking was - I don’t want to be on someone’s YouTube video getting into a fight at Disney. She then turned around and walked away- cussing about me and during the entire rest of the line her, the daughters and the other mom were looking murderous at us, while the dad looked a little apologetic. I normally would have absolutely waited or let someone know the line was moving, but I am quite sure the dad had told them and they had just ignored him. Was I in the wrong for attempting to go around them?
