Only one semester left at Ensign
Okay so I only have one semester left before finishing my associates at Ensign College and I’m starting to stress about renewing my ecclesiastical endorsement.
I haven’t really gone to church in probably like 2 years. In the past I got lucky because my bishop would just do the endorsement questions over the phone and that was basically it.
But now I moved out of that ward a while ago, never transferred my records, and I’ve never even met the bishop in my current ward.
And to be honest, I’m kinda just done with the church at this point. I’ve been angry for awhile and I don’t believe any of it anymore, and have pretty much distanced myself from everything, BUT I also need my associates degree and I’m this close to being done.
So I guess my question is, what happens in situations like this? Can a bishop basically hold your graduation over your head because you haven’t been attending? Has anyone been in a similar spot this close to graduating?
Also, if I start showing up again before fall semester starts, how much attendance do bishops usually expect? Like do I just need to occasionally show up to sacrament meeting or are they expecting full attendance to classes etc. again? I know bishop roulette is a thing so I’m curious what other people experienced.
