TLDR: video team edited out certain key things in our wedding film like table touches/greetings and reception games and wondering if it’s reasonable to ask them to include in our video.
We hired a photo/video team for our wedding last year and finally received our full wedding video 6 months after our wedding. We watched the video and noticed it didn’t include the cake cutting, bouquet toss, and table greetings/touches. We reached out to the video team asking for at least the bouquet toss and cake cutting footage since we thought these were key events that should be included. Also said we wanted the table touches but understand if that’s too much footage. They subsequently sent us a separate video of the cake cutting and bouquet toss. I was initially fine with them not sending us the table touches but after some thought and showing our families, I want them. We are Asian and that footage included a lot of sentimental moments and speeches from our guests that we want to see.
Granted they did include some moments of the table touches in a 5 minute cinematic highlight reel but it only has a few seconds of snippets backed by a song so you couldn’t hear any spoken words from that part of the reception.
Curious what other couple’s experiences are with their wedding videos. I was somewhat expecting footage from the entire day. Is it unreasonable for me to ask them to send me the table touches and footage of the reception games? How should I bring this up :(
