Imagine this, if you deliberately go into the forest to hunt for some animal, you would bring the shotgun or the rifle. But if you just go past the forest and want some safety against wild animal, you would bring side-arm.
.
Xhalf is like that. It's like a pistol. You don't deliberately go hunting with a pistol. But it's nice to have with you all the time. So when the situation requires, you pull it out and shoot.
.
I have come to understand that not every camera is to make the best picture, the same as not every gun is for the same use. People want to deliberately hunt with this gun, but it's just a pistol, it's not to replace the rifle.
I have a SLR, the Pentax KX, for serious shooting, with 50mm lens mostly for portrait shots. I'm planning on buying the Pentax 17 halfframe for everyday casual shooting. Should I sell the Olympus 35UC - the Rangefinder?
.
Sharp lens with quality that could rival the Pentax KX. I just don't know what can be the use-case for it, after getting the Pentax 17. Aside from serious shooting (with the SLR) and casual shooting (with the half-frame) are there any specific case for the Rangefinder?
I'll be quick with the question. My problem is, I want to shoot more. My gear is: Pentax KX for serious SLR, and Olympus 35 UC for Rangefinder.
.
Those two are heavy, I want more casual carry. Does not have to be pocketable, tho still desirable.
.
I want to shoot more, so I want half-frame.
.
I was told that Analog autofocus was not to be trusted anyway. So I'm looking for Zone-Focus camera.
.
Having two manual exposure camera, I want to try auto-exposure for faster workflow. So I prefer newer/durable models.
.
All that has pointed to the Pentax 17. Do I have any other choices? Should I do it?
