I have two living options which one would you choose?!! I am 22 female currently live in Texas and has never lived in any big city before! I’m moving to ct in 1 month! And keep in mind I’ve never driven in the snow but I’m used to driving 40 minutes to work everyday.

1: $650/month including utilities shared apartment 4bed/1.5bath, 88sq ft room (super small!!!), NO in house laundry and no air conditioning just heating, and garage parking is 150/month near Dwight st but is an 8 minutes drive to work in downtown New Haven!

2: $850/month not including utilities shared house 4bed/2bath, large room, in house laundry, free street parking, nice neighborhood with large backyard near Southington but is a 30 minutes/28mile drive to work

Hi! I’m a 21F moving from Texas to the New Haven area and I’ve honestly been struggling to find any roommate situation!

I’m hoping to move sometime in June, July, or August and I’m open to anywhere within about 20 minutes of Yale.

Ideally I’m looking for:

All-female roommates, rent a room in a House

Budget: ~$1300/month including utilities

Open to commuting a bit if needed

I feel like I’ve tried everything (Facebook groups, listings, etc.) but haven’t had much luck finding the right fit.

Does anyone have advice on:

Where to find legit roommate postings?

Best platforms/groups for Yale/New Haven housing?

Know if anyone Female looking for a roomate?

Or if you’ve been in this situation, what worked for you?

I’d really appreciate any help or direction especially since I’m moving from out of state and know nobody!!
