Got my dream camera

Finally managed to snatch myself long dreamed about Olympus OM-D e-m5 MK II. I’m not a pro but I feel very limited by the iPhone 16 Pro Max especially in the way of processing photos. I got different apps and for whatever reason I was never happy with the photos. Two years ago I started doing photos on film with my trusty Konica C35EF (the one that everyone think is an Andy’s Warhol favorite camera) that I bought broken and fixed. Then I got a SLR Minolta Dynax 8000i with kit lens (also broken and also fixed) which I loved but it’s WAY TOO HEAVY for daily use. Film taught me to be more clinical in the framing and understand a lot of different approaches before releasing the shutter. After moving to Poland last year I couldn’t believe how expensive film is here and was planning to get the dream camera. I like to have some pocketable stuff hence why I used my c35 for about 90% of the photos I took.

It has only 8500 shutter release and came with 45mm f1.8 which is unreal imho but for my favourite street photography and project I have in mind I’ve ordered DJI 15mm which should be with me in a week or so. Batteries are fairly dead not sure whether there is more shutter releases or someone just didn’t care about them but I got it so cheap I can’t complain about it (about 250 eur, body, box, lens 3 batteries, strap, booklets)

Attached a difference in size between Minolta and Olympus, sorry for long post but none of my friends understand my obsession with cameras “because you have a great camera in your phone that can do all those photos without effing up”.
