So I am planning a girls trip to Switzerland for my best friend and I for mid-June 2027. We have 8 days (no room for change on this).
We really like hiking, plan on getting the Swiss travel pass, and I want to visit the HR Giger museum to get something for my husband.
My main questions are: is the itinerary below doable? Should we stay in Lauterbrunnen or Wengen? Keep in mind we are obviously tourists and seeing the "typical photo views" of Lauterbrunnen is a dream of mine but many things I have read say to stay in Wengen instead. Do we have the time to visit Gruyeres with just doing a single night in Montreaux? We are not planning on visiting Jungfraujoch as everyone has said it's a tourist trap and not worth it.
The itinerary now is mainly based on hikes. Once the destinations are set in stone I will add more things to see in the cities and villages.
Prelim itinerary below. Appreciate advice/feedback from all!
