Hey, I'm new and I saw a lot of list having 2 or 3 chaos spawn units, and so I wanted to know what are they usefull for and how to play them, because if its strong or fun I want in on that. I get they have good movement and good enough melee, but each time I played them (it was when I started the army, so I surely did things wrong) they just died without doing much.

The effect states that your unit to be set up wholly within the hallowed ground. But if you use purifiers, can you set up anywhere that is 6" from ennemy unit cause where they are ARE an hallowed ground ? Or the space needs to be hallowed before the unit can ds ?

And second question I though when I write this is : can you use this strat to ds in the 1st turn ? Because it doesnt say its in reinforcement of 2nd turn or after.
