To preface this, I am a total noob when it comes to computers. I mean the kind of noob who only buys prebuilts, so I have very little knowledge about computer hardware.
I recently started playing Kingdom Hearts for the first time, and wanted to use my Xbox controller - but my Xbox controller could barely connect to my PC. With a ton of fussing and troubleshooting, I suddenly found that my controller barely had any connection issues when I held it below my desk next to my computer.
Well, talking to a friend about it, we decided it sounds like I don't have Bluetooth antennas. Probably because my dad told me they weren't needed since they were only for Wi-Fi (he's old) and I'm connected via ethernet.
This morning, I move my entire desk setup to look at the back of my computer and- sure enough, I don't have antennas(? I'm not sure what that thing on the right is meant to be, but it's obviously not doing its job very well if my Xbox controller disconnects 2 feet away from my PC).
My sockets appear to be weird though. Like - he told me they'd be golden sockets, these are clearly not golden. Not only that, but whatever that thing attached on the right is, I can't remove it no matter how much I twist it - though it does turn (and it doesn't feel very tight, which makes me worry that it's damaged somehow?).
Basically, there's a few questions to be asked here.
Why are my sockets different from the golden ones he mentioned to me? Why can't I unscrew the thing on the right (or should I not be trying to remove it at all)? Will my computer work fine if I have a single Bluetooth antenna since they come in twos / should I go for a USB one instead?
Sorry if my post was unnecessarily verbose, I don't really ever post on reddit.
Quick early edit: I dont know why the media failed to process? Here's an imgur link to the video that's meant to be there.
