I don’t want to go into details because it’s way too specific, and someone from my store, if they get on Reddit, would know it’s me. So I worked 6 days straight, and today and tomorrow are my days off. But yesterday, right before I left, I was kept past my time to help out and did something unsafe, and another associate was involved. It was them I almost hurt. They were fine, and they didn’t get hurt at all, but they could’ve been hurt and possibly died had I been more careful. To be fair, they also didn’t follow protocol and put themselves in the position of the incident. There were other factors, but I’ll take the blame, I guess. But should I wait till I get back from two days off or should I just go in and see if I need to make an incident report, get fired, get coached, or get advice? if I don’t get fired I’m never staying late again had I just gone home I wouldn't done this.
