Hi, I have multiple accounts open with RBC (checking account, saving account and credit card) and I want to possibly add a US checking account as well.

However, I'm trying to rebuild my credit after some difficult financial time. I want to make sure that it won't affect my credit score. Are they doing a hard credit check to open that type of account?

I've read some conflicting infos online but when I look at the application process until the last step before actually applying, I've not seen any mention of a credit check required or my agreeing that they do one.

Thanks,

I'm currently in the process of refinishing an old dining table that was left by the previous owner of our house and I'm not sure what to do about this.

Before starting on this project, I thought that the stain was in the old finish/varnishing but after stripping and sanding the table top, I realized it is actually in the wood grain, I tried sanding it down a little but it seems to be quite deep. There is a few other spots on the side of the table as well... No clue what caused it originally.

Is there any tricks to get the stain out of the wood grain? Thank you!
