I’m dealing with a pretty frustrating situation and wanted to see if anyone here has had something similar.
I booked a round-trip business class ticket of China Southern Airlines from Dubai to Hanoi (March 11 – March 27), with a layover in Guangzhou both ways. The first flight on March 11 was fine. But on the way back, my Guangzhou → Dubai flight on March 27 got canceled (I think because of the Middle East situation at the time).
Right after that, I requested to cancel the rest of the trip and asked for a refund through Booking.com.
Now it’s been around 1.5 months and still nothing. I’ve contacted their support multiple times and every time they just tell me to wait. The last time I spoke to them, they said they had contacted the airline several times but didn’t get a response, and told me to wait another 5 days. That was already 5 days ago and still no update at all.
At this point I’m not sure what to do anymore.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Is this kind of delay normal? And is there anything I can actually do here (like chargeback or something), or do I just have to keep waiting?
