Allergy, infection, or something else?
I'm thinking its an allergy, its all localised to one single colour. It's possible the ink bottle was contaminated but if it was infected it'd be red and tender which it isn't. The only thing that confuses me is that if it was an allergic reaction, wouldn't it be itchy? I've had eczema my whole life and when i get a reaction there's always a rash and it's itchy. This is just scabby and won't seem to heal properly, even a week later now. Any ideas?
Edit: no its not totally normal, I've had many tattoos, as well as another the day after this one and its healing brilliantly. I've messaged the artist and he said its most likely allergic reaction but we didn't speak the same language and i wanted more opinions. I've had the medic at my work check it and shes not super concerned about it so I'm not worried about the hospital, but it does confuse me why it's not itchy etc, does anyone else have actual helpful advice about allergic reactions or possibly bad tattoo ink.
I appreciate my camera is ass because the cover is smashed but what I see is every single colour healing well (albeit a bit dry as I was about to apply lotion), except every single square that uses the second darkest brown is EXTREMELY scabbed. Possibly overworked, but strange that it'd be just the one colour.
PS. I am using tattoo safe lotion, the dryness of my skin is not the main concern here, look at the scabby bits please.
