I tried to start my 924 to se if it will start (has electrical problems) and it fludded out fuel out of the hose mounting place, on the component next to the fuel distributor . I assume there should be something connected there? but I don't know what. the previous owner had tried to plugg it shut but the rubber has crumbled.
I have lookt at the starter motor wire from the battery to the positive terminal on the starter, when I bought the car the previous owner said something about starter motor problem. When I measured the cable, the resistance to ground was 0-1 ohm which would indicate a full short circuit som where, I am currently trying to remove the starter to have a look at it, but it is a shit show trying to remove it.
So my question is do anyone have a theory of what could cause the problem?
I haven't gotten to look at the starter yet. So wanted to know if it could be diagnosed with out getting the starter out.
Hello, I have bought a 1979 924 as my fist project car. The previous owner had som electrical issues and decided to change the hole wirering loom. They bought a loom from a 1980 924 and installed it. They said they couldn't get the car to run afterwards. I maby too ambitious as this is my first project car. So my question is do anyone know if there is any specific differences in the two looms? I have looked at the electrical diagrams for 1979 but not yet found a specific diagram for 1980. And I have not yet tested to start the car my self incase there are any short surcets any where. Any information would be great 😁
