Got it running with a carb clean, two tires (also free) and a battery

I got this brute 6.75eti Briggs and Stratton for free, it started first pull but the engine was pulsing. I did a little work and sprayed some carb cleaner into the intake, it ran for a couple seconds then shut off. Now every time I try to start it, runs for a second then dies! I’ve done a little research and they were saying it was the jet, I added some jet cleaner but it hasn’t done anything, and information on this would be so helpful! (Ps I emptied the old fuel and put new in) Thank you Reddit!
