Missing "Conservation Mode" (Battery Limit) on IdeaPad Slim 3 (Snapdragon X Elite/Plus) - 15Q8X10

Hi everyone,

I recently got the new Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15Q8X10 with the Snapdragon X processor. I’m really enjoying the efficiency and performance, but I’ve run into a frustrating software issue regarding battery health.

I want to set a battery charge limit (Conservation Mode) because I use the laptop plugged into a desk most of the day, but the option is completely missing from Lenovo Vantage.

What I’ve checked so far:

  • Lenovo Vantage: Fully updated. I have all the add-ins installed (VantageService 4.26, DeviceSettingsSystemAddin, etc.), but the Power section only shows basic settings—no 80% limit toggle.
  • Windows Update: All optional drivers and firmware updates are installed.
  • BIOS: Checked the BIOS menu, but there is no hardware-level toggle for battery thresholds either.
  • Commercial Vantage: Tried the enterprise version, but the result is the same.

Is anyone else with a Snapdragon X-based IdeaPad or Yoga seeing this? It seems like Lenovo hasn't enabled the ACPI drivers for battery conservation on the ARM architecture yet for this specific model.

Has anyone found a workaround or heard of an upcoming BIOS/Vantage update to address this?

Specs:

  • Model: IdeaPad Slim 3 15Q8X10
  • CPU: Snapdragon X
  • OS: Windows 11 (ARM64)

Thanks for the help!
