Hello everyone,

Current BS Nursing student here, 2nd year, studying in Multan. Originally from Lahore.

I chose nursing because I genuinely like healthcare and want a stable career. But I keep hearing mixed things from seniors and relatives.

Can people in the field give me a reality check on 2 things:

  1. Job Market 2026:

- How hard is it for a fresh BS Nursing grad to land a hospital job in major cities right now?

- Starting salary range? I’m hearing everything from 40k to 90k — what’s realistic?

- Is the demand actually growing or is it saturated with diploma nurses?

  1. Respect/Perception:

- Do you feel BS Nurses are respected in hospitals by doctors, patients, admin?

- Has the “nurses are just assistants” mindset changed at all?

- For guys in nursing: any extra stigma or is it normal now?

Not having a crisis, just planning ahead. I’m also into entrepreneurship so I’m curious if nursing gives you a solid base to build from later.

Appreciate honest answers from nurses, doctors, or anyone in healthcare. No sugarcoating needed.

TL;DR: Nursing student asking about real job prospects + social respect for BS Nursing in Pakistan 2026.

Hey all,

20M nursing student here in Multan. Originally from Lahore, moved 2 years ago for uni and I’m halfway through my degree. I also do some entrepreneurial stuff on the side.

Clinical rotations + classes + side hustle = I accidentally became a hermit. Realized I don’t really have a social circle here and it’s starting to get to me.

I’m pretty introverted, 6'2", into cricket, chai, and figuring out life balance. Just looking to meet genuine people in Pakistan for normal conversation and friendship.

If you’re also a student, entrepreneur, or just someone who likes deep talks without drama, feel free to DM. Always down to hear about other people’s projects and journeys too.

Tldr
