Hey, complete beginner here. I’m 30M with no medical background and I want to start volunteering at a hospital in California just to get a feel for the healthcare environment.
I don’t have any certifications, medical training, or prior healthcare experience. Is that okay? Do hospitals accept total beginners, or do you need something on your resume first?
Also:
- How do I actually find and apply for these programs?
- What should I expect on day one?
- Is there anything I should do or get before applying (vaccines, background check, etc.)?
Just looking to get my foot in the door and see if this world is for me. Any advice appreciated!
