I am at least four months out from my first court date and Im am facing so much anxiety and stress. My dui charge didn't involve a crash or an injury and it's my first. I just know that if it goes south my life will be way harder.

I just can not handle the anxiety. I don't drink or take anything to calm me. I'm worried that's what got me in this mess. I have never been arrested and this one issue has caused me so much stress.

One of my friends heard about the situation and they jumped on my pretty bad about it. Didnt listen to anything I had to say. I kept trying to explain and understand them but they were so negative. Told me that I deserved to suffer and that I had no chance of winning my case.

I know others have been in this boat. Its early in the case. I just got my lawyer. We havent hit discovery yet. Venting

Anyone have an example where they were "dead to rights" in their eyes and the case turned out better than expected?

I don't think I can handle months of this mental stress.
