This blew my mind this morning…even though avocados and other fruits/veg are technically allowed during the fast since it’s plants, now you have to worry if you can have it…because it’s not local? I’ve seen this type of thing before where things that are technically allowed are questioned because it’s too “luxurious” or “worldly” so you never really know if something’s allowed or not even if it’s plant based, and it creates so much worrying and anxiety. I really wonder how much this person ruminates and thinks about what they eat during the fast.

You would think during a FAST you wouldn’t have to worry so much about food, and there wouldn’t be so much emphasis on what you can/can’t eat and on what day, so much that we need a whole calendar for it.

And then you can’t eat certain things on certain days because it somehow matters if for example you have fish on Tuesday instead of on Thursday one week. It’s all so stupid. You literally worry more about food when you’re fasting than when you’re not. I know Jesus talks about fasting in the gospels, but I feel like this isn’t what He meant.

Also it’s literally just an avocado.
