Medical/Crime Thrillers Similar to the Rizzoli & Isles and Scarpetta Series

Tess Gerritsen is my all time fav author and I just finished reading my first Patricia Cornwell novel (Postmortem), and I just need to expand my horizons in my fav genre. Doesn't have to have a female lead, and standalones are perfectly fine.
