Is this the usual quality of service from Nespresso?

Reposting a previous post because many assumed I was on the UK website. I added a new screenshot with address included. It’s the Canadian website. Thanks!

Original post:

First time Nespresso user here. Yesterday, I purchased a Nespresso machine from Best Buy Canada. There is an ongoing promotion from Nespresso Canada where if you buy a new machine, you get 50 free capsules and free shipping.

Problem 1: When I try to redeem the promotion on Nespresso’s website and only add the free capsules (a predefined bundle, Best Buy M2M), I keep getting an error message: something gone wrong.

Problem 2: If I add 50 additional capsules, the error disappears. But then I need to pay more than $50 plus a shipping fee. I thought the 50 capsules and the shipping were supposed to be free without buying additional ones based on the promotion terms (attached in the picture and also available online).

Problem 3: I contacted their live chat support, but the agent seemed careless and ended the chat after 3 sentences. They didn’t say the additional capsules were required so I guess I understood the terms correctly.

The coffee machine didn’t pump water when I received it either. Before I could even use it for the first time, I had to Google a solution and fix it myself. As a first time customer, that was really frustrating. That said, I still want to continue being a customer because I genuinely like the convenience and the taste.

Is anyone else seeing the same error with this promotion or redeemed successfully ?

Amazed by the bike lane

I’m always amazed by how narrow and busy this lane is and how it can be categorized as a bike lane.

I’ve lived in an apartment building on a street for a year, and there’s a neighbour who has essentially turned a public street parking spot into his private driveway.

He owns two vehicles: a personal car and a massive company work van. He constantly swaps them out so the spot is never vacant. If he takes his van to work, he moves his car into the spot. When he gets home, they swap back and his van is parked into the spot (and moves his car to his own parking under the apartment building).

The real issue: I’m okay with him spot saving. But, the spot is right at an intersection. Because the work van is huge, it completely blocks the line of sight for both pedestrians and drivers. For the past whole year, every time I cross the intersection, I have to inch out into the road just to see if cars are coming and to allow drivers to see me. There were times where cars just drove away right in front of me because drivers couldn’t see me behind the van.

Is there any ordinance against spot saving like this especially if the car is huge, or a safety rule regarding parking large vehicles so close to a crosswalk? Thank you!
